Pair of Chrome and Marble Table Lamps by Banci, c.1970

A fantastic pair of chrome and marble table lamps from the Florentine designer Giovanni Banci. Produced in the 1970s, these substantial lamps have a rare and beautiful marble base that features a concave cut-out on its surface. Its four chromed brass rings can be moved horizontally and positioned at a variety of angles, which make the shade appear to ‘float’ outside of its marble base. Two high quality table lamps from one of the great lighting manufacturers of the period.
