A truly impressive ceiling pendant by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, c.1962. The '2259' model features two pieces of thick 'teardrop' shaped glass, with a frosted cut-out that acts as the diffuser for the bulb fitting. The main body of the lamp is suspended from a single rod of nickled brass and the two glass pieces held together with pins that pierce each section. The sheer simplicity and quality of its design have helped to make this lamp an iconic piece within the Max Ingrand oeuvre.
