‘Alghe Marine’ Umbrella Stand by Piero Fornasetti, c.1960

An exquisite circular umbrella stand with brass rim by Piero Fornasetti entitled ‘Alghe Marine’ or ‘Marine Algae’. First designed in the 1950s, this is a rare 1960s issue with gold leaf decorative transfers on a cream coloured background. The umbrella stand is in excellent condition for its age and comes complete with its original drip tray.
